Sex Therapy in Colorado: Science Meets the Art of Intimacy
If sex and intimacy has started to feel complicated, disconnected, or stressful, you are so not alone.
Often, my clients find themselves with difficulty talking about sex, desire discrepancy, shame, or a lack of satisfaction with the quality or frequency of the sex they are having.
I specialize in helping people and couples to develop their unique Sexual Temperament profiles and relational sexual cultures in a healthy, informed, and inspired way.
Sex and intimacy are a complex interplay among the dual-control model of human sexuality, attachment history, beliefs, identity, cultural influences, and lived experiences.
We will build insight and practical tools to support greater alignment, communication, connection, and fulfillment.
What skills will you gain?

Develop a clearer, more informed understanding of how sexuality works — including desire, arousal, and variation across individuals.
Create a Positive Sexual Culture
Define shared values, communication, and expectations that support a more intentional and connected intimate life.
Clarify Your Sexual Temperament
Identify your unique sexual style to better understand compatibility, preferences, and relational dynamics.
Communicate with Confidence
Talk about sex more openly and effectively, with greater clarity, comfort, and mutual understanding.
What is a relational Sexual Culture?
A relational sexual culture refers to the overall environment a couple creates around sex, not just what happens during a single sexual encounter, but how sex is approached, communicated about, and experienced over time.
Many people are taught to focus on one aspect of sex, often performance or a specific sex act, while overlooking the broader factors that shape a healthy sexual relationship. Elements like emotional safety, initiation patterns, desire, communication, boundaries, and repair all contribute to the quality of a couple’s sexual culture.
When these pieces are aligned, sex tends to feel more connected, intentional, and sustainable. When they are not, couples often experience disconnection, pressure, or ongoing frustration.

Sex Therapy for Couples and Individuals
My work integrates the dual-control model, neurobiology, attachment science, and specialized systemic training from Northwestern University to help individuals and couples explore sexuality in ways that feel safe, regulated, and aligned with their values.
I work with individuals, couples, and ethically non-monogamous partnerships around intimacy, sexuality, desire, and addressing the sexual domain of a relationship as part of my clinical training as a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am not a Certified Sex Therapist through AASECT, which is an additional professional credential requiring advanced specialized education and supervision in sex therapy.
What’s the difference?
Relational therapists are trained to assess and treat relationships, including many intimacy-related concerns. A certified sex therapist has additional specialized certification focused specifically on sexual functioning, sexual health, and more complex sexuality-specific clinical concerns.
If your goals involve relational intimacy, desire differences, communication around sex, sexual shame, improving the sex life, sexuality, or strengthening connection, this work may be a strong fit. If your needs require a narrower specialty, I’ll help guide you toward the right support.

Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits
We are an out-of-network provider, which means we do not bill insurance directly. However, many clients are able to use their out-of-network benefits for therapy services.
We’ve partnered with Mentaya to simplify the reimbursement process. If you’re eligible, you’ll pay for your session upfront, and we’ll submit the claim through Mentaya on your behalf. They handle the paperwork and any follow-up with your insurance company.
Depending on your plan, many clients receive 50–80% reimbursement after meeting their out-of-network deductible.
We also accept HSA and FSA payments.
Your economic situation should not stand in the way of getting the care that you need. Let me know if you’re interested in utilizing my sliding scale.
